Opening Day Fundraiser

Hello Everyone,

We are happy to announce that we are doing something special for opening day this year (May 1).

We will be donating 10% of the sales on opening day (Saturday, May 1) to the Feil Family from Sundre. In January Dan Feil passed away and we would like to show our support for his wife Amy and their four children.

We will be serving beef on a bun from 12 - 2 on Saturday afternoon. All proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the Feil family as well.

We will also accept donations on their behalf Saturday.

Please come out and help support a local family.

Hanging Baskets and Other Info

Hello Everyone,

We hope that you have gotten out and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine that we have had.

We started seeding on the 1st of February and are excited to get back into the swing of things. We will have tumblers, Big Beef, Early Girl, Rainbow, Geman, Giant, Beefsteak, Patio, Tiny Tim’s, Romas, San Marzano, Bonny Best, Cherokee Purple, Rio Grande, Evan’s Extra Early and Manitoba tomatoes in one gallon, two gallon and three gallon pots ready to go on opening day )May 1st). We have seeded lots of veggies as well.

At this time we can offer one on one hanging basket classes. Our plan is to offer one hour classes four times a week. Classes will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:30 - 5:30pm. Classes on Saturday will be from 12:30 to 1:30. We will help you design and build your own hanging basket. We will then keep it happy and let it grown in the greenhouse until you can come and pick it up on the May long weekend.

In the future, if the restrictions are relaxed, we will be offering our full hanging basket classes (8 people) for the remainder of the basket planting season. Please keep an eye on the website as we will be posting more information as we get it from the government updates.

If you would like to have us build hanging baskets for you or your friends please let us know and we will build them for you, keep them happy and have them ready for pick up on the May long weekend.

We are hoping to have online ordering of hanging baskets, planters, and herb bowls. You can order them and then come and pick them up on the long weekend of May.

Happy 2021!!

Happy New Year Everyone,

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year a good one. We enjoyed seeing our return customers and meeting many bright new faces.

Despite some challenges this year and because of them we have implemented new options on our website. We have added scheduling and product purchasing through the website itself.

We want to applaud everyone for container gardening, growing vegetables and making their outdoor space beautiful.

We are excited about 2021 as we are making more improvements in order to serve our customers better and provide more products. This winter we are building raised garden beds in order to provide more veggies to our customers. Later in the spring we will be building another greenhouse as well.

We are looking forward to the coming year and are looking forward to seeing everyone. Our gates will be open weekdays starting April 05 so come on in and see what we are growing. Stop in for a coffee and a visit. We will be opening the retail part of the business May 01, 2020.

Attention Winter Warriors

Hello everyone. Given the new Covid restrictions we cannot host our classes indoors. We can only have one on one classes indoors.

So……….

We have set up a Saturday wreath building class and a Sunday planter class (max. 8 people in each) this coming weekend….. OUTSIDE.

We will roll the big table outside and have our classes. Plenty of room for social distancing. If the weatherman got it right it’s supposed to be +7.

We are looking forward to having some fun in the great outdoors. Come and join us!

We have been going through the new Covid rules and regulations and have found that we can offer 1 on 1 wreath/planter sessions. We have plenty of room for keeping our distance during the session.

We have lots of material to help you build your own spectacular wreath or planter. As always we can build one for you as well.

New Covid Restrictions

Hello Everyone,

We have contacted the Alberta government this morning to find out how the new restrictions will effect our wreath/planter building classes. We were informed that our classes fall within the restriction and we cannot proceed with them.

But wait…….. we have a plan.

In order for you to have a beautiful, hand-made wreath or planter for Christmas this year Rita has volunteered to build them all for you. If you would like a wreath or planter please make an appointment on the website for pick up. This will be the easiest way to track what we need to build and when we need to build it. Please make a note of what you would like Rita to build (wreath or planter) and it will be ready for pick up on your scheduled date and time.

When you come to pick up your goodies we will treat it like a curb side pick up. Nice and safe.

There will be a standard wreath and two styles of fancy wreaths as well as large and small planters available.

The standard wreaths will be $42.50 + tax.

Fancy wreaths will be $55.00 + tax.

Small planters will be $45.00 + tax. (Standard green pot)

Large planters will be $65-$80 + tax. (Standard green pot)

- Large planter pricing varies by the amount of material used in the pot. Let Rita know how fancy you would like it and she will build it accordingly.

These are examples of the planters. These are for a customer and we used their pots to build them. The pots that we are selling are a standard, dark green pot. You can supply your own container if you like and we can custom build if you like. These ones are pretty fancy and will be at the higher end of the price range.

Classes are filling up!

Hello everyone. It looks like our beautiful fall has came to an end.

The wreath, centrepiece and planter insert classes are starting to fill up. We are adding more pictures with this news post.

Sign up is easy and the booking can be done through the website. If you would like us to build something for you please let us know (403-556-8802 or 403-850-8137) and we can arrange a time for you to come and pick it up.

We are following all AHS regulations for Covid-19.

We have also done some custom arrangements.

Winter Class Booking and a quick update.

Good Morning Everyone,

We have been busy cleaning up and closing the greenhouses. We would like to thank everyone who supported us by either buying flowers or veggies. There a lot of changes going on around the greenhouses in order to help with supplying a great product to our customers and streamline our production.

We are now set up for booking classes for the winter wreaths and centerpieces. Come design and create your own masterpiece. As we are new to web page building please have patience with the page and let us know if there are any issues that we need to fix. The class dates are now on the calendar and we also have added an “appointment” button to the booking page. The appointment button will allow customers to come and pick up wreaths and centerpieces that we have built for them.

With the Covid-19 concern we are happy to build a wreath or centerpiece for you if you do not want to attend a class. We will be following the AHS recommendations for gathering size and social distancing for our classes. We have enough room to have 8 people per class.

Although we were unable to register for Alberta farm Days, we will be open fri. 10-6 pm Sat-sun. 10-4 pm Come for a visit and check out our greenhouse and garden. We have lettuce varieties, herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, cauliflower, peppers, to mention a few. Come join us for coffee and cookies and take a tour of our love for healthy eating. We are taking orders as well for tomatoes. All varieties for canning and fresh slicing.
